    Awesome play

by Wygenia on 12/14/22Wilson Theater at Vogel Hall - Milwaukee

Great use of millenials in the play. My 11 year old niece enjoyed every moment. We talked about the meaning and she shared good comments.

by D. C. on 12/12/22Wilson Theater at Vogel Hall - Milwaukee

From start to finish I was amazed how everyone keep moving. The music was great, the kids was good and wished they had more shows. I would liked to see it again.

    Excellent performance

by Bob on 12/11/22Wilson Theater at Vogel Hall - Milwaukee

This was our first experience at the Black Nativity Performance. Both my wife and I thought it was excellent, exciting and over the top with audience engagement. The performers had such enthusiasm and range of ages. We encourage anyone to attend and enjoy this production.

    Must See Phenomenal Performance

by Alli The Admin on 12/11/22Wilson Theater at Vogel Hall - Milwaukee

Powerful, Invigorating, Festive, Fun, & Inspirational...That cast can SING!!! Warm, welcoming atmosphere. The host in the hall were informative the seating arrangement was perfect. The cast was A1 from their cohesive energy to their support for one another, positive vibe. The audience was in tune, supportive of the entire cast, the age range varied from toddler to elderly. It was an experience that I enjoyed to kickoff the holiday. 7th year and my 1st time attending (man Ive missed a treat) but so glad I had a chance to attend 2022 opening day!

    Not Novel Nativity

by Kat on 1/2/22Hackensack Meridian Health Theatre at the Count Basie Center - Red Bank

The nativity story wasn’t really any different than what I have experienced in the past. The message for me was that we are all really more alike than different from each other. I was expecting more Langston Hughes than was included in the show. I totally loved the first act. It was beautiful! The second act message was not clear to me at all. It showed the strong faith, hope, and spirituality of black Christians, which is very evident in their day to day lives. It is their leading by example that educates most effectively. To me the Second Act was like attending a Black Church service. If that was the intent mission accomplished. I enjoyed the First Act immensely. The Second Act was to long and draggy. I wanted to see a show not attend a church service.

    Better Floor Seating

by Dee on 12/25/19Macon City Auditorium - Macon

The Black Nativity was Awesome!!! However, the floor seating was horrible. The seats were too close and uncomfortable. I was surrounded by heavy set people, and I could not sit all the way back the entire show.

    BLACK NATIVITY EXPERIENCE

    by E. S. on 12/24/19Macon City Auditorium - Macon

CONFUSION ABOUT WHERE GUESTS WOULD BE SEATED, ON THE MAIN FLOOR WHERE CHAIRS WERE USED OR NOT AT STAGGERED OR RISER HEIGHTS, GUESTS COULD NOT SEE THE PLAY WELL AROUND TALLER, LARGER AND BIG HAIR FOLKS SEATED IN FRONT OF THEM; UNAVAILABLE PARKING OR THREE HOUR PARKING METERED LIMIT ONLY WHEN THE PLAY LASTED EQUALLY AS LONG; THE DIRECTOR'S EPILOGUE TO THE PLAY WAS TOO LONG, THE OLD FASHIONED HYMNS TOO FEW, THE WISE MEN'S PRESENTATIONS AND OLD LADIES "PACE" SINGING TOO ABBREVIATED; TICKETS TOO EXPENSIVE AS A RETURNING GUEST FOR MORE THAN THREE YEARS, WAS HAPPY TO NOTICE A FEW POSITIVE CHANGES HERE AND THERE: THE REPLACEMENT OF THE FEMALE MINISTER WITH A MALE, THE DEPENDS STREAMING URINE, ETC.
