    Great Concert

    by M. W. on 4/17/19Memorial Auditorium - Burlington

What's not to love about the Gaither Vocal Band. So nice to be able to have a small crowd, but the auditorium was packed!! Great turnout for a wonderful gospel singing group. Hope Burlington, Iowa brings them back again and again and again.

The GVB is fantastic - but the venue is not!

by MW Gal on 4/14/19Memorial Auditorium - Burlington

We've been to see the Gaither Vocal Band many, many times over the last 10 years. They never disappoint! This was our first time to see them since David Phelps left and Reggie Smith replaced him. Reggie is great and provides a smooth tenor sound to the mix of Wes Hampton, Adam Crabb, Todd Suttles, and Bill Gaither. They sang several selections from their last 2 projects - Better Together and We Have This Moment - as well as time-honored VB favorites, like He Touched Me and These Are They. However - the venue was a bust. I need handicapped seating and was told by the venue manager himself exactly what seats to order. That was NOT HC seating! I wound up sitting in a folding chair in an aisleway, which was very uncomfortable. The stadium seats were some of the smallest I've ever seen (if anyone there was actually comfortable in them, I'd be shocked). It was like being in a grade school auditorium. The location of the seats were fine - direct line of sight to the stage. But there was nowhere to sit! They either need to do some serious upgrades, or have the HC seating on the floor of the venue, not up in the balcony. Our seats (which were supposed to be on a platform) were actually in the first row of the balcony section - about 12 steps down from the platform. Unacceptable! The seating chart is way off. We won't be back to that venue, which is a crying shame, since it's about 90 miles from my house. Very convenient. But we left at intermission because we were so uncomfortable and still had to drive home. It was extremely disappointing to have to miss half of a concert from my favorite group! Another important note: The restrooms were on the ground floor, on the OTHER side of the building. Not handy at all. If they insist on sticking HC people up in the balcony section, at least have HC accessible restrooms on that level! Bottom line: The Gaither Vocal Band is always worth the price of admission. Just be very careful about where you go to hear them!

    Awesome show

by Roger on 4/14/19Memorial Auditorium - Burlington

This was probably the best show I have ever attended, longer than many other shows I have seen, singers were outstanding, harmonizing was some of the best I’ve ever heard. Even some down home laughter with good clean jokes and stories. You leave the show with a good feeling in your heart and so happy I decided to attend.

    GVB Rocks Macon

by Mhenryb on 10/31/17Macon City Auditorium - Macon

It's been several years since I have seen the GVB in concert and I was thrilled with the talent of the group considering the changes that have occurred over the last couple of years. The group was full of energy and sang their hearts out. Kudos to Bill for consistently finding the right talent and mix to provide the quality product. These boys can SING. And of course one of my all time favorites, Kevin, provides great support through his musical talents and humor! Overall a great evening of gospel worship!
