About

BILL COSBY ON TOUR:

Legendary family funnyman Bill Cosby has been making America laugh for over half a century, proving that clean, wholesome humor still has a welcome place in today's stand-up circuit. From his days as Jell-O's spokesman to his role on the eponymous Cosby Show, his folksy demeanor and all-inclusive comedy have made him a national treasure, with a fanbase that spans generations. Hot on the heels of 2013'S Bill Cosby: Far From Finished — his first TV standup special in 30 years — Cosby is once again on tour, treating audiences around the country to his signature brand of family-friendly comedy.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Cosby  was a class clown as a young student, but he was also a high achiever, acting as captain of the baseball team and class president. After a demanding work schedule led him to drop out of school, he joined the Navy, continuing to hone his comedic talent while shooting  the breeze with fellow servicemen. Soon after his time in the service, Cosby began performing at clubs around the country, ultimately landing a pivotal spot on NBC's Tonight Show. That appearance gained him the exposure he needed to break into acting, paving the way for his Emmy-nominated role on the show I Spy and his popular Saturday morning cartoon Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids. His biggest success, however, was the era-defining Cosby Show, which dominated airwaves in the '80s as the most popular TV show in the country for five straight seasons. In addition to numerous acclaimed acting roles, Cosby has continued to perform and record stand-up over the years, racking up a whopping nine Grammys for his comedy albums and cementing his place among the giants of American comedy.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Enjoyed 2hours of laughs! He combined some old material with new material and the result was great laughs. It was a pleasure to experience good clean fun --- no profanity or descriptive sexual encounters used to get a cheap laugh."

"Still he can captivate an audience for 2 1/2 hours while sitting in his chair just telling us hilarious stories as if he was in our living room, just making us laugh our heads off!"

"Cosby is a master. He spoke for 2.5 hours without a note or a prompt. He just told funny story after funny story."

    Funny despite distractions

by turner22 on 5/6/15Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

Saw Bill Cosby live for first time. Low key, but very funny storytelling. Show only last 1 hour and half. Had 2 hecklers disrupt the show. 1st was male whose outburst was not very sensible as he rambled on. 2nd was female complaining about his treatment of women. Cosby was calm and eased the remainder of audience not to boo or criticize outbursts. He took it in stride, kept low key. Overall, show was funny and enjoyable, glad I attended.

didn't attend the event and the money was wasted.

by AlphaFamily on 5/6/15Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

Hoped for Cobb Energy offering refund which didn't happen. We weren't sure about taking kids to this event because of the circumstances and didn't want to send wrong message to kids.

    Funniest man alive!

by AnAtlantaGuy on 5/6/15Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

Bill did not disappoint. His routine was full of fresh material that was insanely funny. He had us laughing throughout the show. There were a couple of hecklers in the audience and Bill was very gracious in the way he handled the very rude and disrespectful interruptions. I can't wait for him to return on his next tour.

    Master at work

by DBLDD on 5/6/15Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

How often can you see a true master of comedy at work? Mr. Cosby is a rare gem that can only be improved at a live performance.. His whit for a 77 year old is sharp and down right funny. There were a couple of small interruptions of folks with personal agendas that were dealt with the upmost professionalism by Mr. Cosby. The bottom line is don't let the media and politics get in the way of experiencing on of one of the greats.

Bill Cosby is an awesome talented man of God!

by ZeroStarsIsMyRating on 5/5/15Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

I took my husband on a date night to see Bill Cosby! We had an outstanding time and thoroughly enjoyed the show. Bill Cosby is a class-act and handled the hecklers with grace, love and mercy. He is a true man of God and is a gentle giant. I would recommend his shows to everyone!!! He's absolutely the best! Shame on people for their unfounded accusations and misplaced judgment. Do not judge lest you be judged! He who had not sinned, let him cast the first stone.

    What a talented comedian!

by GardenGirl77 on 5/5/15Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

This was a fun and laughter filled performance. Bill Cosby was so very funny. He had a command of the audience from the moment he set foot on the stage. His stories were so animated and humorous. There were so many things to related to, such as a child' many questions, forgetfulness, sibling rivalry, and on and on. I laughed so hard I had tears. He is at the top of the list of all time greatest comedians!

    Cosby OK, had better material.

by WRRB1 on 5/5/15Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

Seen Bill a couple of times in the past and the show was average. The material was not his best. Paid full price for ticket and felt a little cheated.

    Bill Cosby in Atlanta

by SWGA on 5/5/15Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

It was like having a favorite uncle come in and start telling stories. He was down to earth, funny as always, gracious with interruptions, and totally worthwhile. So happy that I got to see someone that I have loved and respected most of my life.

    Bill Cosby disappointing performance

by badumpster on 5/5/15Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

I was surprised to have to present an ID and clear a metal detector to gain entrance into the show. The show started late and Mr. Cosby seemed more concerned about the time than the performance. He asked the gentleman in the front row what time it was twice. The show also ended early. (Before 9:30) I truly appreciate his patience and graciousness with the hecklers. It was new material and it was enjoyable, but when a performer is more worried about the time than really engaging with his audience something is lost. I would not attend another show or recommend this show.

    He still got it!

by hellofriend1 on 5/5/15Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

My sister and I grew up watching the Cosby Show. Dr Huxtable always reminded us of our dad with his silly dances and facial expressions. This weekend will be 20 years that our dad passed away and what better way to celebrate his life than by seeing Bill Cosby. He was amazing! I couldn't stop laughing. I love how he uses his personal life experiences! It did sadden me to see the protestors upfront and to have two people in the audience make no sense when they stood up and interrupted his routine. He handled it respectfully and with grace. I will definitely see him again!
