Loud

I average 50-75 live music performances every year. Several years over 100. This was the worst show I have ever attended. I like Beth's music and think 6-8 of her songs are outstanding. Unfortunately, I could not hear one song. I've been to Birchmore before and didn't have same feedback. Not sure if it was sound system, deteriorating acoustics or something else. Will never go back to Birchmore. I think Beth was doing her best. Need to hear, not see a show. Terrible and total waste of $$. UBER cost and more importantly a waste of my time. Never written a negative review on a live show before even when it was substandard.
based upon recordings, expected to be challenged by her vocals but the venue's weak sound system did not help. Beth was best solo. when backed by band difficult if not impossible to hear voice and enjo music. would have been more enjoyable in another setting.
Great venue. Superb sound. The only I didn’t like was the plastic cups served in the bar.
Amazing show, to say the least, it was like having a dream come true.
Amazing Show at the Teragram last Thursday Night! Heather Broderick was the warm up act, and she was great on cello and vocals along with various samples and effects. Beth Orton was great on vocals, keyboards, and guitar, along with drums, bass, guitar, percussion, and saxophone/flute. Also Heather Broderick was back up on vocals, keyboards, and cello. Awesome show all around. The quality of the music was top notch.
We started up front so we could see. Halfway through it was so hot we were heading outside but it was much cooler in the back so we got a beer instead. Very limited seating. Beth Orton was excellent
20 years ago I caught an amazing show in Atlanta, and at the show here in Boston she continues to perform with stunning vocals and an amazing group of supporting musicians. And her joy in performing live pours out all night! Don't miss her if can make one of her remaining shows.. Also a shout out to the Crystal Ballroom it was my first time there. It's a great intimate venue with a great sound system.
All the life changes we have been through with Beth Orton, her vocals are arresting her sound unique. The venue was perfect for an intimate concert experience. Beth and her full band played her new album, with a dusting of classics. Central Reservation and Stolen Car. Show was a 10 out of 10!
Fresh off a flight from New Zealand this was a bucket list show. Beth Orton and her band of incredible musicians shone. (And The Bowery is amazing). I can go home happy.
