    Very cute and Perfect length

by Seymourmom on 3/1/16Shubert Theatre - New Haven

The show captured my 4 year old's attention but also was enjoyable for my 13 year old who grew up watching the Bears. The songs were catchy and fun, costumes and set were perfect and story line had a great message. Definitely a fun time and so glad we went.

    Not great Bear Country

by Gran46 on 3/1/16Shubert Theatre - New Haven

I was very disappointed as we had just seen Clifford a few months before and was expecting similar quality. The messages with the bears left something to be desired: school is foohey, fat people aren't good, hiding truth (grades, candy wrappers) is acceptable, winning at sports is all important. Fortunately my granddaughter did not pick up on all this.

    GREAT, GREAT, GREAT SHOW!!!

by Jeenjeeni on 5/8/15Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

This was daughter's first theater experience (she is almost 3) and i was concerned about how well she would behave in the theater. The actors were SO full of live and excitement that my daughter was captivated from beginning to end! I recommend the show to all ages!!!!

    Waste of time!!

by Anonymous on 5/6/15Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

I thought it would have been a fun event to bring a 3 year old. There were several kids ranging from 2 to 6 who didn't have an interest in the show. The show was called Berenstain Bears but they were wearing stupid outfits instead of wearing bear costumes. They had fake ears and wigs which looked nothing like the characters. The show was trying to be a musical as if they were actors. It is for kids, keep it simple and wear bear costumes. Musicals are for the adults. Thankfully it was over within an hour.

    Disappointed

by kaydeelee on 5/6/15Bergen Performing Arts Center - Englewood

It was ok. The kids enjoyed but it would of been better if the actors had a little bit more to their costumes. The length was perfect but I feel we paid more than the show was worth. Both of my grandkids wanted a token of the play No where. AHEAD of time, was there an indication that it was a cash only sale. So both kids ended up with nothing.

Berenstain Bears LIVE - not really for little ones

    by MOM22222boys on 10/8/14Wilbur Theatre - Boston

We took our 5 and 7 year old boys to this and they liked it a lot. But, there were a TON of babies and toddlers in the audience and it was LOUD with all their chattering and crying. That didn't necessarily bother me. But I would have been bothered if I'd been their parents. First off, the "bears" are people dressed in the clothing of the book characters but they are not cute fuzzy bears on stage. I would think that would be confusing/disappointing to little kids. Secondly, the storyline was about Brother's issues on the soccer team and at school, and with Sister learning about stranger danger. My kids could completely relate to this. They would NOT have related a few years back. I think a lot of parents saw the ad for this and got tickets expecting it to be more appropriate for toddlers, preschoolers, etc. but honestly I'd take kids that age to Sesame St. LIVE before this. Again, the show was GREAT, my kids really liked it, but they're school age, which made a difference.

    Waste of Money

by masterlegal on 10/8/14Wilbur Theatre - Boston

We have taken our five year old daughter to Broadway productions and community shows. Both ends of the spectrum can be fun and entertaining. This simply was neither. Poor acting, poor set and costumes, rip off of basic book stories. Overall a waste of money.

    Sort of lame

by Herupsime on 10/7/14Wilbur Theatre - Boston

Costumes minimal - microphones inadequate - performances perfunctory. Quite disappointing for kids and adults alike.

Great show, my 4 year old son loved it. Short show that had a lot of great music and some interaction with the audience.
