    Great Show!

by imsas on 1/12/16UNO Lakefront Arena - New Orleans

everyone on the show was entertaining. I especially liked Big Pokey, and Betty Wright. Big Pokey is just a clown, he's having fun as if he's a kid performing in front of his family. Betty Wright can teach all the youngsters a little something about being a class act. Still got the pipes to hit those high pitched notes of hers. She's very engaging with the audience which makes it seem like she's in your living room performing just for you. Willie Clayton was good as well (like i said, everyone was entertaining) even thou I was looking to hear some of his older hits, I loved the new ones and his overall performance. The show was a big hit, I really enjoyed it.

    Show Great -

by Peeie on 10/10/13UNO Lakefront Arena - New Orleans

The show was great. However, we paid almost $100 each for the tickets. Which would have been worth it, if there were not people hanging on the stage, pulling at the entertainers. Dancing in front of the stage and between the row of seats. And this were older people acting very ignorant. If they want to dance, there should have been and area towards the back designated for dancing. Not in front of the individuals who was attempting to enjoy the show. Finally during Bobby Womack, one of his back ground singer had to ask one of the stage hands to make the same 2-3 people get away from the stage and sit down. Thank you

Betty Wright! She has so much energy.

by Doobeethe1 on 10/9/13UNO Lakefront Arena - New Orleans

Had a great time even though I missed Clarence Carter, he was stroking off d stage as we arrived, bummer. Denice Williams was still hitting those high notes! Silly of me to think she couldn't. Whoa. Betty Wright, it was on when she hit the stage. I was exhausted jamming with her and i could take a break, and she didn't. And last but not least, Bobby Womac. What can i say. i was really surprised because someone said he cxled because of d storm, not. He was great. Wow, he still sounded the same, going from way back then and to doing a new number from his soon to b released cd. Awesome Show!

    Bayou Blues

by Pwr2live on 10/8/13UNO Lakefront Arena - New Orleans

This was the first blues concert in New Orleans that I enjoyed... It even lasted longer than the other ones I attended... Hopefully it will get to feel like a real concert in length like the good old days

    Mixed Review Based on Bands

by MusicManDiggs on 10/8/13UNO Lakefront Arena - New Orleans

Denise Williams and Betty Wright were excellent. They were both great and worth the money. The bands supporting Clarence Carter and Denise Williams were poor. This Band was just a rhythm section that probably never played together previously. They did not have the instrumentation to give either Clarence Carter or Denise Williams the sound they deserved. This band would not have survived in a night club in New Orleans yet they performed at a concert. This took away from the event. Bobby Womack had a good band but was boring and seemed as if something was wrong with him, possibly high. Fortunately, Denise Williams and Betty Wright are two great songbirds that saved the night. Betty Wright had a good band with her. My tickets with fees and parking was about two hundred dollars. For such costs, we expect good bands, not guys off the corner put together at the last minute.

    I'm 25 & loved it

by pvtjones88 on 10/8/13UNO Lakefront Arena - New Orleans

The concert was great and definitely unforgettable. DR. CAPTAIN CHARLES had the audience going during stage set-up for the next artist. If you never seen Betty Wright it's a must.

OMG!!! Betty Wright put on a show!!!

    by BeautifulSurprise82 on 9/26/13Reliant Arena - Houston

From the moment Clarence Carter stepped out on stage I enjoyed myself. I danced and really had a great time which I really needed. Betty Wright put on a great show she really entertained. I always wanted to see her I have been a fan of her music every since I was a little girl.....so glad I was able to see her in person. My Grandma and I really enjoyed ourselves she danced all night. Bobby Womack had a great show my only complaint was that he was being rushed off stage too soon. He seemed as though he was enjoying himself and could of performed all night if allowed. I have no complaints about any performer my only issue is with Reliant Arena. I paid over $170 for two floor seat tickets and I was inconvenience all night due to the tight seating assignments. They really need to improve in that. If you pay more money you should be comfortable and not cramped together. I had to get up out my seat I was bumped numerous of times cause people had to pass me to get to their seat. They had enough room to give everyone space. Overall I enjoyed my night!!!!!
