Band Extravaganza Tickets

All three band performances absolutely get 5 stars from me. They're amazing, and the marching band is high-energy and very entertaining. But the seating situation at Stephens Auditorium is awful when they don't sell assigned seats. They herd you in like cattle, only to make you wait in three separate lines (or, more accurately, masses). Then, once you're done waiting in your final mass of people, you have to race in and rush to whatever seats you're lucky enough to find. And to top it all off, I had to arrive an hour and 15 minutes early to have the pleasure of this awful experience. The auditorium design is less than functional (especially the bathroom situation), but I'll forgive the Cold War era designers for showing off their mad concrete skills back in their day. There's nothing that can be done about that now, but I'd gladly pay higher ticket prices for assigned seats.

My son plays in the ISUFBVMB and his grandparents are have mobility issues. It was an amazing way for them to experience the band in a more climate controlled area with little walking. The sound in Cy Stephens Auditorium was amazing!

This concert is a great cross-section of the best that ISU's Music Department has to offer - from the wind ensemble, to jazz, to the marching band. Everyone is always happy and smiling as they walk out after the concert and what more could you ask for? Every year, I bring one more person to enjoy the fun and they always do. Thanks for offering this to the community!

The ISU Band Extrvaganza was phenomenal! The marching band blew us away. I gave the experience a 4-star review, because I wish the venue would reserve a section of seating for groups of band students from area schools to be able to sit together. Unfortunately our band students and chaperones had to split up in order to find seating, which was quite disappointing.

Was an amazing show from the first note until the last. The talent was exceptional and even better it looks like they were having fun. I can't wait until next year's show.

Great musical event with lots of energy. Lots of musics types to enjoy. Did not like that late arriving school buses delayed the start of the event. Wonder if assigned ticketed seats would make it easier to get people seated.

It was fantastic. I regret not going last year. Every single performing group did amazing and the crowd was definitely into it. I look forward to going to it next year!

Love that we got to hear three very talented groups at one time. We have a son in marching band, so of course we enjoyed that section of the show, but we also really loved the Wind Ensemble and Jazz sections. We cheered, we sang, we clapped, we stood ...... a fantastic night!

I've been to high school marching band extravaganzas so I knew it would be awesome and I wasn't disappointed! It was nice to hear the other two groups as well since my college student was in jazz, concert and marching band in high school.
