Balboa Theatre Tour Tickets

The theater, in the heart of San Diego downtown, is a San Diego treasure that needs to be preserved for generations to come. It was humbling to be present in a 100 year old structure that has stood a test of time, has seen so many cultural shifts over the century and yet continues to inspire and bring people together under its roof. The resilience of this structure is a testament to San Diego's spirit of preserving good things for future generations, and we should continue to invest in such gems of San Diego. Arts and the theaters that help showcase art forms are vital to a vibrant city and they act as factors that serve to unify the community. We need more of these.

What a great night! The organ was tremendous, as was the organist. Combining that with such a great silent film displaying archival footage of early aviation in San Diego. Loved the shots of the Hotel Del, North Island, and, of course, Americas first aircraft carrier, the USS Langley.

Beautifully printed program! Arrived expecting that the salute to the military would a plethora of patriotic music replete with service themes, but was delightfully surprised that a silent film was offered! The Flying Fleet was terrific! Hope to see more silent films there!

I REALLY ENJOY HISTORY AND THIS WAS A GREAT EXPERIENCE. I ONLY HAD ONE PROBLEM. OUR HOST SHOULD OF HAD A SMALL MICROPHONE TO SPEAK IN. I'M HARD OF HEARING AND HAD TROUBLE WITH ALL THE DETAILS. BUT JUST BEING THERE AND LOOKING AROUND WAS GREAT.

Great bit of San Diego history. The details of the original construction and the renovation were covered. Also included a bit of the issues relating to the different kinds of shows were covered when we were in the dressing room area.

The tour guide was great, very enthusiastic and knowledgable. Also enjoyed the dressing rooms tour and tidbits on some of the performers. The tour guide really brought the theatre to life for us.

My 16- and 9-year old had a great time at this tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered every question the group had. The group size itself was nice and still allowed for a personal experience. We were lucky enough to be able to hear an organist play at the end which was a great ending to an already amazing tour. The girls still talk about this experience weeks after the fact.

Wonderful informative tour! Got lotsof information, was really able to spend time and focus on the details of the building. Highly reccommended.
