About

The phenomenon known as Sublime, arguably the most energetic, original and uniquely eclectic
band to emerge from any scene, anywhere, ended with the untimely death of lead singer, guitarist
and songwriter Brad Nowell in May of 1996. But encompassing the sense of place and purpose
long associated with Sublime's music, Badfish, a Tribute to Sublime continues to channel the
spirit of Sublime with a fury not felt for some time. What separates Badfish from other tribute
bands is that they have replicated Sublime's essence, developing a scene and dedicated
following most commonly reserved for label-driven, mainstream acts. Badfish make their mark
on the audience by playing with the spirit of Sublime. They perform not as Sublime would have,
or did, but as Badfish does.

    The sound system was horrible!!

by Blondebear on 4/23/24State Theatre - Portland

The sound was horrible!!! You couldn't hear them well at all. I have been to dozens of shows at the State Theater, this was by far the worst!

    Painful

by Concert Queen on 4/23/24State Theatre - Portland

Honestly, it was obnoxiously and painfully loud for the size of the venue. We almost left after the cover band but ended up moving our seats to upstairs, which helped a bit, but we still left the show early. I'm in my mid 40s and have been to over 100 shows and am starting to loose my hearing and I still couldn't stand it. I could only imagine how painful and deafening it would be for a young person. It really was distracting and disappointing and made it impossible to enjoy the show. A good band should want to protect their fans hearing for future concert enjoyment!

    Wasn't worth going...

by Nacho on 4/23/24State Theatre - Portland

Horrible....Sound was the worst I have EVER heard! The bass was so strong it overpowered the singing so you couldn't understand anything. And what we could hear wasn't even Sublime! We left early because it sucked so much. Huge disappointment.

Awesome show once again!! Thanks guys đŸ€™đŸ»

by JKenz on 4/19/24XL Live - Harrisburg

I reserve 5 stars for the absolute best. This is probably close to a 4.5, especially considering it being a small club cover band. They bring it!! Great times. Need to bring Joe Samba back as your opener, if possible.

    EPIC show and venue!

by Afbhappy on 3/17/24Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas - Las Vegas

Absolutely phenomenal show. Badfish was epic, Grieves was the warm-up, and he and his cohort was equally as amazing. The ambience and crowd were 10 out of 10. Fun, respectful, diverse, friendly. I can’t wait to go to another show at this venue, especially now that I know locals get 24 hour free parking!

Saw Badfish on a boat in the Hudson 20 years ago, and Phoenix in 2024 was through the roof! Fresh!
