About

BACHMAN & TURNER IN CONCERT:

Canadian classic rock heroes Bachman & Turner are back on the road in 2014, treating fans to marathon sets of nostalgic hits like "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet" and "Let It Ride." The duo rose to international superstardom in the '70s as Bachman-Turner Overdrive, and although they've dropped the "overdrive" from their name in the new millennium, they haven't lost any of their hard-charging spark. Amid rumors that they'll be performing their seminal 1974 album Not Fragile end-to-end on their 2014 tour dates, gearheads from coast to coast are lining up for a chance to catch these legends in concert.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

After rising to prominence with The Guess Who in the '60s, guitarist Randy Bachman formed Bachman-Turner Overdrive with singer Fred Turner in the early '70s. While their eponymous 1973 debut album was a moderate success, it was sophomore album Bachman-Turner Overdrive II that really put them on the map, generating huge sales in the US and Canada thanks to hit singles "Taking Care of Business" and "Let It Ride." Third album Not Fragile was an even bigger success, topping the Billboard 200 and producing classic rock standard "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet." Reunited in 2010 as Bachman & Turner, the duo continue to record and tour, with a handful of highly anticipated appearances scheduled for 2014.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"...Bachman and Turner rocked out...these two guys are still fantastic after all these years. Turners voice is so authentic and Randy's guitar playing is unbelievable.”

"These guys have gotten better with age. The show was outstanding! Music played just like you remember and the crowd was on their feet!"

"...one heck of a great concert. Randy played that guitar ..... Just WOW. His vocals were perfect. Turner played great... They looked like they were having fun and the crowd responded with standing ovations."

    Bachman & Turner were smokin'

by Zig5719 on 9/5/14Cannery Hotel and Casino - Las Vegas

I admittedly went without any expectations other than a night out with my lady. The lights dimmed, the band came out and they started cookin.' Soon Bachman & Turner came out and they really brought it. My lady and I looked at each other in amazement and we were quite pleased. Two 70 year olds brought the house down. They were smoking hot.. Do yourself a favor and catch them if you can, you won't be disappointed...

    Excellent!!!

The Bachman Turner concert was outstanding! I have been to the concerts of every version of BTO over the last 40 years and three times I have seen Bachman Turner. This was by far the best. They played with a hard edge I haven't heard the last couple of times I went to see them. Randy's lead solos were riveting.. such intensity. CF's vocals as always were top notch. Listening to him is such a treat! The whole band really seemed to put a lot of punch this time. Made me want more!!!

Bachman & Turner can still bring it!

by SinCityMoose on 9/2/14Cannery Hotel and Casino - Las Vegas

It was great to see Bachman & Turner at the Cannery. Since high school, BTO was a band on my must see list, but I never got the chance. Now I can check them off the list. What made it great was the intimate setting of the Club at the Cannery. They sounded like I remembered and they didn't miss a beat.

    Still got it

by Seeyalater on 9/2/14Cannery Hotel and Casino - Las Vegas

41 years since their their first hit and the first time I saw them in concert. Randy Bachman and Fred Turner can still belt them out the tunes. It was an amazing concert. Just shy of two hours of all your favorites. If you like hard pounding 70's rock and roll you gotta go see them next time they are on tour.

    GREAT PERFORMANCE

by STONEHORIZON on 9/2/14Cannery Hotel and Casino - Las Vegas

BACHMAN TURNER are great! Took my wife and my two teenage daughters and had a really great tume. My daughters are into this tyoe of music that I grew up with - I am 57 and have a 12 and 14 year old, who love this, as well as other types of music, including more contemporary hip hop. I must say that despite their ages - they really sound like they did decades ago. Wish there was more background video and more of a show like the beginning showing truck through the desert. GREAT PERFORMANCE! Well worth the price of admission.

    Canadian rock icon !!!??

by terracat on 9/2/14Cannery Hotel and Casino - Las Vegas

I remember they came out during my freshman year at university in Toronto and they are the zeppelin of Canada. So when I learn that they are playing in Vegas, I have got to see them as I never had the money back in college days. Their music is still great and Randy Bachman's was a better guitarist than I had expected. What is truly surprising is they still can sing and their voices have not tarnished at all. It was to be their last concert for the summer so their age did show as there was no interaction with any band members and months on the road has taken it's toll on these seniors. One thing that did bother me is that they are performers and entertainers and a little more than a worn out t shirts and ill fitting jeans would show that they cared about their audiences. Jagger still look the same and Tyler tries hard, Page looks as good as any 60's+ can, so does rod Stewart, Joe Walsh, Lindsay Buckingham, roger waters and many many others. It would be great to see that they put in the extra effort, maybe on their tour next year?
