    Not Worth The Money

by WilliamR on 10/17/15Hobby Center - Houston

Loved the dancers and the show would of been worth the money if only was more professionally put together. The show is Gerald Levert music story in case you did not know. 80% of the shows requires singing. The sound technician hired or that travel with them should be trained. Mics went dead during singing, cues where missed, sounds to loud, guest singers could not sing because song would be in and out.

Baby Hold On To Me was sensational

    by 1Unique on 10/2/15Hobby Center - Houston

The story line was captivating as it gave insight of a loving and structured family in the entertainment industry. Kudos to the Levert Family and thank you for sharing your story. Great choreography and music. The performers and dancers were fantastic; and displayed exceptional talent. Although, my favorite cast member was Shawn McLemore who gave an amazing performance playing Gerald. To the writers, producers, stage manager, music director and production staff: "well Done and Don't Stop".

Baby Hold On To Me - Gerald Levert Fan

by Jeminique on 10/1/15Hobby Center - Houston

The play was great but the music was amazing. What a talented array of old school singers with the "real" sounds of R & B!!!

Late starting, no Life story & Messed Up Sound

by PeachesBayCity on 9/30/15Hobby Center - Houston

The play started 45 minutes late. The dancers were stall tactics. They danced at least 5 dances and the guys had more hip swinging then the females. Change of sets took too long and very low budget. The play did not tell his life story. Sometimes I felt the producer forgot what the play was about. Audience were having coverseations during play because they did NOT capture your attention. 1-10. I give it a "5".

    Over rated

by Anonymous on 9/30/15Hobby Center - Houston

I don't get too many date nights with my husband. I surprised him with tickets. They moved our seats downstairs because the venue was undersold. They sang so many other artist songs. They show should have been full of Gerald LeVert's music. To my disappointment, it was not. His father sang 3 - 4 songs only. The sound system was horrible. In my opinion it should have been a musical full of his songs. The acting was fair.

Baby Hold On To Me Highs/Lows

    by realscoop51 on 9/30/15Hobby Center - Houston

The presentation had some very strong moments at times but the sound quality was a major problem at times. I was very please with story line and performers selected to perform. I believe that the show could be very successful if production is able to solve the sound problem.

    Disappointed

by CRJC on 9/30/15Hobby Center - Houston

I was disappointed; expected more. The acting was amateurish and at times really bad. At one scene the mics went out and the song the guys were singing kept breaking up. If not for Eddie Levert actually being present and singing a couple songs, I would have left. For the price I paid, it was very disappointing.

Started off with a great music scene and didn't stop! There were songs I expected to hear Cassanova, Private Line and many great unexpected songs! The Singing talent was amazing I found myself singing along, it was part concert, part musical and part play! This Gerald Fan loved it!
