BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Baby Cham, aka Damian Beckett, grew up immersed in the rich music culture of Saint Andrew Parish, Jamaica before moving to America to pursue his dreams of becoming a musical performer. He began playing live in the early ‘90s, steadily building a reputation with his accessible dancehall sound and powerful live shows, and in 2000 he released his debut album Wow… The Story. The album was well received by fans, but his real breakthrough arrived with his 2006 sophomore album Ghetto Story. That album was a crossover success, landing several singles on Billboard’s Rap and R&B charts including “Ghetto Story Chapter 2”, which featured Alicia Keys. Since then he has collaborated with numerous big name artists including Rihanna, T-Pain, and Damian “Junior Gong” Marley. With his highly anticipated third album Lawless hitting shelves in 2015, Baby Cham has fans dying to catch some of the new material at his upcoming shows.
