    Mediocre dancing and odd moments

by Qaoiax on 1/30/17Morrison Center for the Performing Arts - Boise

Dancers were obviously talented but the choreography was sub par and there were odd spoken pieces peppered into the dancing that were awkward and made no sense.

    Bodytraffic

For a small company, they demanded a lot from the dancers and they performed well. They are obviously well trained dancers from various walks of life. The choreography was at times interesting and at times unusual. Whether you see this as a plus or minus really depends on your tastes. I'm not sold on it being one of the best up and comings quite yet. I watched Trey McIntyre go through a similar process then fizzle out. The jury is still out for me. I would not go out of my way to see this company again, but if they are in my area I will always support new contemporary artists, especially for dance. The dancers were very enjoyable to watch. The stage was simple - mostly lighting created. The movement sometimes fast and energetic. Not a lot of partnering compared to some companies. It was kind of each dancer for themselves.
