Beloved actor and comic Aziz Ansari has made a considerable name for himself with edgy, off-color roles in NBC's Parks and Recreation and films like I Love You Man, but it's his live stand-up show that really showcases his talents as a funnyman. Ansari has a knack for reading his audiences and tailoring his bits accordingly, making every night on tour a unique experience that's as full of surprises as it is laughs. Born and raised in South Carolina, Ansari earned a degree in marketing from NYU before making a name for himself as a comedian. He initially rose to prominence as part of the hit MTV show Human Giant, which ran from 2007-08 and featured improv videos he created with fellow comedians Rob Huebel and Paul Scheer. In 2008 he joined the cast of NBC's critically acclaimed comedy Parks and Recreations in the role of Tom Haverford, earning the title of one of 2009's "Breakout TV Stars" by Entertainment Weekly. In addition to his stand-up and TV work Ansari has hosted the MTV Movie Awards, released several successful comedy albums, and appeared in numerous hit films including 30 Minutes or Less and This Is the End. Back on the road in 2014 for the Modern Romance tour, Ansari continues to crack audiences up with his uproarious observations and killer comic timing.
