    worst thing i invested in

by melissa1991 on 8/2/14blues brews and bbq - atlantic city

i went to the ac food and wine festival: Blues brews and BBQ with robert irvine. He was so nice and welcoming but the event was ridiculously packed! like 500 people under a tent, you have to wait 35-40 minutes to get food, lines were wrapped around, they ran out of food, you have to pay for wine and liquor, they ran out of water, limited seating so you have to eat standing up. i thought he was going to cook for like a small crowd of us girls and have it more personal but i guess its all about the money. The pulled pork was the only thing worth eating. My grandmother makes better potato salad and mac n cheese. Just so disappointed after spending $89 on this even and still had to pay for everything.

Not for the Food or Wine Enthusiast

by Darkreaper on 7/28/13Food and Wine Festival - Atlantic City

I went to the Grand Market and if you want to spend $55/person to get drunk in a large crowd of people who are looking to do the same you can certainly accomplish that. If you were hoping to explore interesting booths that offered quality foods, wines, and products with people who were looking to do the same than you will be disappointed. The quality of wines offered were definitely at the low end and the other brands of alcohol were standard. The food was virtually non-existent though there were a few items to sample. A shot glass sized portion of lobster bisque from the Fin at the Tropicana was the highlight. I was expecting a different kind of crowd. Everyone was just lining up for free drinks and food with little regard for what was being offered. Pour it in the glass and we will drink it, then off to the next booth. This made it very difficult to talk to the vendors or learn about the product. In addition, the crowd was too large for the venue. You can have a good time there if you enjoy walking around a huge bar filled with people. I enjoyed the time I spent in the Grand Market. I would not go again because there isn't enough offered as a draw other than free drinks.

It definitely had its ups and downs.

by Cupsosoup on 3/5/12Grand Market - Atlantic City

I attended the event. I went with three others. I didn't know what to expect but I can't say I was disappointed. I initially just purchased tickets for the Grand Market but they had a contest while we were there and we won 2 ticket's to a fashion show (I think it was Sunny's) & 2 tickets to Guy Fieri - Chef on Stage. The fashion show was a blast. It was like a nite-club in there w/ sweets, mixed cocktails, and music. Really nice! Loved it. The other two gals in my party went to the the Guy Fieri show and didn't love it. As far as the Grand Market. I don't think they expected the crowd that they received (or it was lost in translation) because there were A LOT of people there and the vendors ran out of food or didn't have any to begin with. I did feel it was marketed as a Food & Wine Event and someone forgot the food part. They didn’t forget the wine though. There was plenty to go around. We only went for the day but next time we are making it a weekend event. I want to attend everything!

Festival was full of fun moments

by barolo on 12/4/11Caesars - Atlantic City

I cant believe that some people wrote how bad this was; I was here only by chance...I had bought tickets to come see a concert in town; an ad for this Festival was attached to my order.....and I soon bought some tix to a few of the events. I had a blast! Sunny's party was terrific, complete with almost all of the Next Food Network stars appearing...and mingling! Cigar night was a lot of fun; the market was a little crowded and they may want to consider the venue for next year...but none the less, was fun to attend. All in all, I cant wait for 2012...and this time, THIS will be my primary reason for being in town....and who knows......maybe I'll learn about a great concert at the same time!

Was the worst event AC ever had and it cost alot of money for four tents of wine to taste & tiny bit of food. It wasn't worth $100 pp. I went to complain to someone from ceasars & ballys and I got jerk around for two month before someone would talk to me.
