ASTR IN CONCERT:

Electro-dance duo ASTR is one of the hottest new acts to emerge from New York City in recent memory. The members of ASTR met in an unexpected way – Zoe Silverman and Adam Pallin were introduced at a mutual friend’s yoga class in 2011 and realized they both had similar tastes in music. After quitting their day jobs and spending time collaborating together, the pair developed their R&B-meets-synth-pop sound and began playing local shows in the NYC area. They released their debut EP Varsity in 2013, earning major praise from blogs and critics for anthemic tracks like “Operate” and dance-worthy “We Fall Down”. Their cover of Drake’s “Hold On, We’re Going Home” earned over 900,000 plays on Hype Machine, and their remixes of popular artists like Neon Trees and Beck have put the band on the radar as ones to watch. With their catchy, elaborate tunes and dance-inducing performances, ASTR gives ticket buyers one electrifying experience after another on their high-energy tours.
