Anthony Hamilton Background

Before getting his Grammy and churning out hits like "Charlene" and "Can't Let Go," Anthony Hamilton started singing from a young age and got his start in the church choir. Hamilton was born on January 28th, 1971, and is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina -- a core influence of his Southern neo-soul musical style. Hamilton also draws his musical influences from R&B greats, including Michael Jackson. After moving to New York City in the 1990s and moving between record labels, Hamilton finally created a name for himself with his fourth album in 2003, which featured the musical hit "Charlene." Hamilton's influence extends beyond music into the public sphere through his speaking and advocacy opportunities as a CASA spokesperson, which allows him to raise awareness about the foster care system.

    Not your best

by Carronnie on 3/12/24Crown Theatre - Fayetteville

Considering everyone told me what a great show Anthony Hamilton performs, I was very disappointed. I purchased tickets based on this opinion, and went all out second row from the stage, pit seats. The opening acts were fair to good and his backup was great. Mr. Hamilton's band followed his lead however the issues that concerned me is the show didn't seem planned. I expected more from an awarding winning performer. Next show count me out!

It was a disappointment! They only did snippets of their best songs and rushed through the show.

    Concert

by Ef on 2/21/24Albany Civic Center - Albany

Concert was nice, which it had more acts or comedians to come out between the sets instead of just music playing.seating was tight, but overall we enjoyed
