Annual Seattle Comedy Competition Tickets

This is the second time we've gone to this annual event. It's a live version of Last Comic Standing, so some are better than others. The emcee was excellent. Major hiccup when a fire alarm went off in the middle of one comic's routine. After resuming the show, many did not return. They missed out on a couple of the better comics. The room was a little stuffy and smelled like cigarettes/smoke. I will go again. It beats going into Seattle and the price is right.

If you enjoy comedy shows and are not easily offended then the International Comedy Competitions are great events for you. It was nice to be able to watch 10 comedians in one night and be a part of the judging process by cheering for your favorites. After the first 5 comedians, there is a break so you can stand up and get a drink or walk around and mingle before you watch the last 5 go on stage. My only complaint, which is a big one but I still enjoyed myself, was that I was seated in the second row right in front of the HUGE speakers. It was pretty ridiculous that they put seats in front of the speakers and they even had to pass out ear plugs due to complaints. If you can check a seating chart before you buy tickets, then make sure you are not in the first few rows on the sides.
