Angelique Kidjo Tickets

Angelique's performance was part of a gala fundraiser for Global Arts Live. The performance itself was fantastic. The singing, the dancing, and the band were all superb. Unfortunately, part of the time for the show was stolen by long thank you from the producer, Global Arts Live. Given that they set a curfew on the show for a fundraiser afterwards, I wish they had left the showtime for the performer. Still, if you never seen Angelique, go!

Angelique Kidjo sings, dances and entertains with energy and artistry. The Rialto Theater in Tucson feels like sharing a special experience with a few friends!

An experienced, inspired, genuine singer/performer.

This was the 1st time experiencing this artist. I had been referred by my sister so wasn't sure what to expect. The energy, the music, the message were intoxicating. Such joy which rippled throughout the show and was shared by the audience.

Why is Angelique Kidjo classified as Reggae? Nothing is wrong with the liberating lyrics of reggae which we uphold for speaking against oppression especially in Africa. Angelique is a lifelong proponent and proud african who is conscious of her indigenous African root, that is passionately rooted in Afro or Afri beats.

This was my first attendance at the Jo Long theater, but a fan of Angélique Kidjo for 20 years, so It was worth the adventure. I love the intimacy of the theater, and Ms Kidjo did not disappoint. Nonstop energetic singing, dancing and engaging! Who could ask for more?

It was an honor to hear Anjelique Kidjo in such great form and energy, and in such an intimate setting. She is the real thing, with a powerhouse voice and beauty within, thank you so much for coming to the Carver!

I had not seen Angelique Kidjo since the Bath Music Festival many years ago. She had an eclectic rock energy about her that I see has not left her spirit. She has a vibrant approach to her music style...powerful, friendly and sometimes edgy. Her vocals are crystal clear with a range that would make Ella Fitzgerald proud. I loved her percussionists and completely smitten with the talking drummer who brought us a "church" moment when Kidjo invited everyone up to the stage to dance. He spoke to each person who was brave enough, with his drum and had a free, fearlessness of expression. Which encouraged the dancers to feel the same. You can hear the Black Panther notes in his talking drum portions of her show. A lovely thread for those who know what I'm talking about. (hit the google if you don't).
