Unique show with talented musicians.
by 2380 on 10/3/10Lisner Auditorium - WashingtonAn all woman string ensemble---how wonderful. Each musician shone in a special way by adding color to the arrangements made for the group. They played gypsy and world favorites in terrific arrangements that also highlighted the soloist and head of the group: Angele Dubreau. The nine string players were a pleasure to listen to---the bass fiddle player had several moments to herself. The first violin duets were very well played and the viola player really held her own with lovely contributions. I didn't want the concert to end and appreciated the encore played with renewed musicianship. I can't wait for more concerts.
