AND SO I WATCH YOU FROM AFAR IN CONCERT:

Post-rockers And So I Watch You From Afar have developed a reputation for mind-blowing performances since debuting their instrumental jams in 2005. Concert-goers will be rocking out right off the bat thanks to the acrobatic fretwork of guitarists Rory Friers and Niall Kennedy on riff-centric epics like "Wasps," "Think:Breathe:Destroy," and "Run Home." The group is known for taking audiences on a dynamic journey, immersing listeners in atmospheric echoes and breaking into rousing, word-less harmonies that give ticket buyers a chance to sing along and join in on the fun. Fans of adventurous rock can't go wrong with And So I Watch You From Afar any time they serve up their hard-hitting, fun-loving, and uniquely ambitious sound in concert.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

And So I Watch You From Afar first got together in 2005, fusing math rock and post-rock in the rural outreaches of Northern Ireland's County Derry. Rory Friers (guitar), Tony Wright (guitar), Chris Wee (drums), and Johnny Adger (bass) soon relocated to Belfast and got involved in the city's music scene. They self-recorded and released their 2007 debut EP This Is Our Machine in before heading out on tour with like-minded bands Maybeshewill, This Town Needs Guns, and Adebisi Shank. Their rigorous touring schedule helped the band catch on in the UK, and their 2011 sophomore album Gangs landed on both the Irish Independent Albums Chart and the UK Indie Chart. Despite their growing success, Wright left the group later that year to pursue a solo career under the moniker VerseChorusVerse. The band quickly tapped seasoned guitarist Niall Kennedy, who made his recorded debut with the band on 2013's All Hail Bright Futures. They won critical praise for their 2015 album Heirs, which was nominated for the IMPALA award for European Independent Album of the Year. In addition to their increasingly poised recorded output, And So I Watch You From Afar continues to blow fans away with their incendiary performances.
