About

ANBERLIN IN CONCERT:

Beloved Christian rock outfit Anberlin announced that their 2014 album and tour would be their last, meaning fans have one last chance to see them in action. The band has been a scene mainstay for more than a decade with their anthemic alt rock sound, topping the Christian Albums Chart four consecutive times with taut albums like 2008's New Surrender and 2012's Vital. The band's final album, 2014's Lowborn, will be accompanied by The Final Tour, a decisively titled last hurrah for the veteran rockers.  Seeing Anberlin on their farewell tour may be bittersweet, but it will also be unforgettable -- the band has promised to pull out all the stops, treating fans to career-spanning sets that will include favorites like "Feel Good Drag" and "Impossible".

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Anberlin formed in Florida in 2002 from the ashes of Christian punk outfit SaGoh 24/7, a short-lived project started by singer Stephen Christian and bassist Deon Rexroat during high school. After SaGoh failed to gain traction, the band reemerged with a rock sound and a new moniker, making their debut as Anberlin in 2003 with the album Blueprints for the Black Market. Although the release failed to chart, it spawned the popular single "Readyfuels" and led to extensive touring. The band's 2005 sophomore album fared better, landing at No. 5 on the Christian chart and No. 3 on the Heatseekers chart. Their success continued in 2007 with the album Cities, which earned them a major label deal with Universal. Their debut on the imprint -- 2008's New Surrender -- peaked at No. 1 on the Christian chart, a feat the band would repeat with their next three albums including their final album, 2014's Lowborn. Accompanying Lowborn is the bands farewell gesture to fans, a rollicking set of dates on The Final Tour that provides ticket buyers with one last opportunity to see Anberlin before they call it quits for good.

    Great farwell

by TKGator on 12/23/23The Ritz Ybor - Tampa

Another awesome show by Anberlin. Sad to see Stephen stepping away from touring but it was a great final performance. Also introduced the new touring singer. Great setlist and they rocked as usual.

    Iconic

by Gina on 12/17/23The Ritz Ybor - Tampa

The entire band always put their all into every single note. Considering it was Stephen’s last American shows, they went all-out with their set list and even included an old favorite, DDCP. We’ll all miss Stephen, but I’m grateful the band is staying together and welcoming Matty Mullins. Thank you for all that you do. Side note: Please start offering XS in merch again

    A dream come true

    by L. T. on 9/30/23

It was my first time seeing anberlin, they are my favorite band and have been since my freshman year of highschool. They played cities and never take friendship personal in their entirety. At the very end I held up a sign and asked to play with them, they actually pulled me up and we got to play ReadyFuels. It meant the world to me and it was a magical experience for my family friends and myself 10/10 band and the venue was cool too!

    Perfect venue for the show

by Casey on 12/6/22The Masquerade - Hell - Atlanta

Overall, all three nights were fantastic. Anberlin put on a fabulous show, as always, and the whole crowd was really into it. The size for the venue was perfect. It was big enough to have great energy with the crowd, but small enough that it felt intimate and personal with the band. Really had a nice time.

    Amazing show

by JT on 12/6/22The Masquerade - Hell - Atlanta

Both Anberlin and the opening act, ‘68, were awesome. They both rocked hard and put on an awesome show. The venue was great, too. It was an intimate setting but didn’t feel too small or cramped.

    Great energy, fun set

by teachercannon on 12/6/22The Masquerade - Hell - Atlanta

First time seeing Anberlin. They played the New Surrender album, which is my favorite, so the setlist was right up my alley. They energy was positive and felt more like a band performing with friends than a national touring act. The band was a little loose on a couple of songs they had not played live before but it didn’t detract from the evening at all.
