Anathema is currently the most original, genre bending band in the world. Their music consistently pushes the boundaries of definition/classification. And you know they love what they do. The enjoyment they show as they play is contagious. You cannot help but be enthralled. I have loved Anathema since I first heard them 16 years ago. And it has only grown with each and every release. Seeing them live now for the 2nd time in America is amazing and they deserve more love here. Keep coming back!

    Anathema reaches into your soul

by VikingWitch on 8/21/17Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Absolutely one of the most talented bands in the world. Their music and lyrics come from the heart. Their live performances are impeccable. Like a dream. Vincent and Lee are the best vocal duo in music - no contest. An ethereal and uplifting experience! Danny's guitar riffs sounded so bad ass live! Each member of the band is a truly gifted musician. Amazing show!!

    Amazing. Simply Amazing.

by Heidi7727 on 10/8/13El Rey Theatre - Los Angeles

The atmosphere of the El Rey Theatre was very intense. The lighting worked well with the music and added a sense of emotion to each song. Mamiffer opened up the hearts of everyone in the venue to the warmth of soothing sounds. Alcest plays and I am blown away, the way the sound, lighting, and ambient fit perfectly with the theme of French manly soothing voices. Once Anathema goes on stage, the crowd goes insane! For their first time in the United States and Los Angeles, Anathema put an amazing show that I will never forget. Also, All the bands besides Mamiffer stayed after the show was over for photos and autographs.

    Anathema was mindblowing!

by Anonymous on 10/6/13El Rey Theatre - Los Angeles

Alcest did a very good job as an opening act. I had never heard of them before. Some of their songs are definitely worth a listen. As for Anathema, i have no words to explain their performance... This will go down as one of their legendary shows!! They had such energy and played some of their classics...always appreciating and acknowledging the crowd which itself was nothing short of brilliant n vocal..
