This event was horrible. After moving from Fort Bliss in past years everything went to hell. The tickets were twice the price but for a fraction of the event size in the past. I cant complain about the actual performers becuase they were very good. However, there were almost no static displays of aircraft on the ground. The parking lot was a nightmare. I will never go again.
I don't know why they moved it from its original place, now there are just a couple of planes for exhibition (on ground) gone are the days where you where able to actually get into an Hercules or see a couple of Helicopters on the ground, definitely not thinking on coming back unless there's news about adding more content to it.
As always, Amigo Air Show is a great experience. Not a dull moment went by.
It was a very fun event. Tocket price of the event was great.
This was the 2nd time to go to Airshow and buy VIP tickets. The first time we went everyone was very enjoyable and accommodating. Food was also very good. It was barbeque. This time many volunteers were not very friendly and were sometimes rude. Not all of them. Some were very nice. The website for VIP said unlimited food. The lady at the serving line was putting an X on your wristband and said you could only go through the line once. I told her that the website clearly said unlimited food. She said that is what her instructions said. We do not fill up our plates, we like to snack so you might go through the line twice. No way no how. In addition it was absolutely the worst Mexican food we have ever eaten. You would not want to go through the line more than once. However that is not what was represented on the website. Overall not a good experience. VIP means more than what was represented. It was certainly a different experience than when we went the first time. Which by the way encouraged us to back and take friends with us the second time. I would suggest taking the VIP out of the title for the future, or step up to the plate, even if you have to raise the price of the VIP tickets. Coming from out of town to attend the event was very disappointing. The flying was fantastic and if the VIP tent followed the same realm, the complete event would have been fantastic. I will make sure what I am getting into next time before making the commitment to attend the event.
