THE CARNAGE TOUR!!! WOW... WAS IT EVER!!!

by ROCKEROFAGES on 8/18/10Toyota Presents the Oakdale Theatre - Wallingford

Fantastic show began with Testament!! they played for quite awhile and sounded great!! the lead singer got all the MOSHERS all fired up... kinda like a shark feeding frenzie!! this was an awesome lead-in act that set the tone for the night!! Megadeth came on next and brought great guitar riffs with them... although Dave M.seemed really into performing, his vocals lacked strength... some kind of technical adjustment may have been needed as a fix because there were a few instances when you could here his famous and familiar voice!! AND he sounded great then!! Next up was SLAYER and man they slayed!!! awesome powerful riffs blasted non-stop for the rest of the night!! THEY SOUNDED FANTASTIC!! the crowd could not control themselves from banging!!

Still Sick After All These Years!

by VinnieBaggadonuts on 8/18/10Toyota Presents the Oakdale Theatre - Wallingford

Slayer with Megadeth was an incredible show! I have been a fan of both bands for years but was primarily going to see Slayer. Mustaine and Megadeth played all of Rust In Peace which is my favorite album and they were fantastic. Everything right down to the guitar solos were spot on and 20 years has done nothing to diminish that Album. Slayer came out and kicked everyone's ass. My ears are still ringing two days later. The pit was aggressive but people were helping each other up and nothing stupid going on. Tom and the boys still sound incredible after almost 30 years. Just a kick ass metal show!
