    Great show

by Daddy’s girl on 5/8/22The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

Always Patsy Cline was everything I was hoping it would be. Singer was phenomenal and really sounded just like Patsy. Also gave a glimpse of a part of her life I didn’t know about. The backup band was awesome as well and her girlfriend Louise was a hoot that gave the show humor.

    Low energy. Poor pitch.

by S on 5/8/22The Charleston Music Hall - Charleston

The energy of the comedian saved the show. Patsy moved without grace and reached neither the higher range, no the lower range with consistent pitch or smoothe transitions. Her insistence on sitting on and holding "rrrrrrrr"'s was an unpleasant growl. So sorry I went.

Over all play was good but Sally Strutters mike needed to be turned up. We missed a lot of the jokes because we could not hear them

The singing performance by Carter and acting by Sally Struthers was GREAT! The combination of humor, a good band and awesome singing (what a voice).

    Disappointing

by Flosser on 1/31/17Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts - Raleigh

I must say I was disappointed. The actress playing Patsy Cline was excellent with a terrific voice that captured the sound of Patsy. However, I found the character that was played by Sally Struthers extremely annoying and distracting. I guess this was less the fault of Sally but more about the character that was written for her part. Loud, obnoxious with no obvious connection to the core story of Patsy Cline, Sally's character was a huge negative impact on enjoying the show. In addition, although the music was excellent, it was basically just a string of songs with no underlying context of Patsy's career and life story. Unlike the Carol King musical, it never explained her beginnings, her struggles, her successes....just twenty songs sung without any structure or story line.
