Allegaeon (pronounced: uh-lee-juhn) is a force to be reckoned with in the world of heavy metal. Formed in 2008, the five-piece extreme metal band from Fort Collins, Colorado, has been pushing musical boundaries for metal fans across the globe for years.

Riley McShane (vocals), Greg Burgess (guitar), Michael Stancel (guitar), Brandon Michael (bass), and Jeff Saltzman (drums) now round out the quintet with past members Ezra Haynes, Jordan Belfast, Ryan Glisan, Corey Archuleta, and Brandon Park leaving at varying points of the innovative metal band's career.

Throughout lineup changes, the band has charged on with the support of their fans, even launching a successful fan club on Patreon that helps the band continue to tour and create music for a passionate fanbase.

Known for their progressive style of metal, science-focused lyrics, and energetic live performances, the band is as cerebral as they are experimental. Their musical style has been described as technical melodic death metal, influenced by classical music, progressive metal and thrash metal. 

They've been praised for their guitar work, creativity and orchestral flourishes, bringing another dimension to the melodic death metal genre. While many bands seem intent on recreating the Swedish death metal scene of the early '90s, Allegaeon sets themselves apart by refusing to be stagnate in their creativity. 

Allegaeon's debut album, 2010's Fragments of Form and Function, started their partnership with the label Metal Blade Records, and they continue to tour nationally and internationally to the delight of their fans.
