The energy and modern feel of the show was great.
by CJoa on 1/16/11STAPLES Center - Los AngelesThe show had a different feel than all other shows I have seen in the past. I was impressed. The screen in the background was a great addition and added to creating the energetic, fun mood of the show. The only thing I was greatly disappointed in was that I specifically bought the VIP tickets because the explanation of the tickets said that the rehearsal included the skaters coming and speaking with the audience, and we missed that part. I hoped to get autopraphs which I have never been able to get at a skating show. So when I read this, I figured this would be the first and maybe only chance. The rehearsal was fun to watch. It went longer than I thought it would and when a significant amount of people left, we got to move up to the front row. And I was so excited to improve my chances of getting an autograph by moving to the front. I called and pushed out our dinner reservation because I wanted to stay until the end for the chance. At the time, I couldn't believe so many people were leaving. And when it was over the girl next to me told me they had spoken to the audience and signed autographs at the very beginning. So my heart sank because we got there 15 minutes after the rehearsal started due to street closures around the stadium because of the marathon that was to occur the next day. So even though we left with enough time (I have been there for many events in the past and know you have to allow time for parking and walking), the street closures really messed us up as to how to reach the parking structure and; therefore, we got inside late, And disappointedly we didn't know until the end that we had missed the part I was most looking forward to.
