THIS EVENT WAS WELL OVER PRICED FOR WHAT YOUR GETTING.. WILL NEVER GO TO A NBA EVENT EVER AGAIN
The entire event was a disappointment. All of the participants were no-name players, everything seemed so scripted and rehearsed. Certainly not worth the $1200 I paid to sit in the upper bowl. Will never do it again and advise anyone against paying any amount to see it.
Great event ... Check it off as part of your bucket list
If I had know that the Slam Dunk Contest was going to be so phony, I would have purchased tickets to the All Star game instead.
I can't beleive that I paid over $300.00 per ticket for a lackluster, boring event. The NBA should be ashamed of themsleves for allowing the 4 no-names to compete in the Slam-Dunk contest. If these 4 unknowns are all the NBA can get, they should discontinue this "contest". Under the circumstances that were presented to Kenny Smith, he did a very good job, but he obviously looked frustrated trying to put a good spin on a poor performance. Why can't the NBA make a rule that the top 4 league leading dunkers in the NBA must participate in the Slam Dunk Contest, since it's the NBA's event to put on. Quite frankly, they only part of the event that was remotely entertaining was the 3 Point Contest and even that was mediocre at best. Overall, I can't say I would ever go to another All Star Saturday Night event! Unless something changes, it would be another waste of money.
NBA missed the mark. No name participants in Slam Dunk which is the primary draw of this event.
