About

Disney’s ALADDIN is a dazzling and extravagant showcase of special effects — including a flying magic carpet during “A Whole New World” — as well as glittering-gold costumes and art deco-style sets that mirror the grandeur of a Busby Berkeley musical. One of Broadway’s most popular musical comedies, the show opened at the legendary New Amsterdam Theatre on March 20, 2014, and has since broken numerous house records (grossing over $500 million on Broadway). Eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken composed the show’s music. The lyrics are by two-time Oscar winner Howard Ashman (Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid), as well as three-time Tony Award and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice and six-time Tony Award nominee Chad Beguelin. The book is by Beguelin and direction/choreography is by two-time Tony Award-winner Casey Nicholaw.

Fantastic! Wonderful experience and a magnificent cast

by Lois on 4/23/24New Amsterdam Theatre - New York

We went to see Aladin in NYC. It was my 10 year old grand daughter's first time seeing a Broadway show and it couldn't have been a better experience for her. The cast was terrific, the music was great and the experience was unforgettable. It was a show she will always remember. Can't begin to say enough positive remarks about the wonderful cast. Spectacular!!!

    Amazing show

by Alex on 4/22/24New Amsterdam Theatre - New York

The show was great and everything (from musing to acting and dancing) was amazing. Well recommended to both children and adults. Unfortunately we had places in the balcony and people in the lower rows kept moving around and bend over, preventing us 100% view. I wished someone had told them to stay still to allow other people to have a complete view

    Great show, poor seats

by Cantab on 4/17/24New Amsterdam Theatre - New York

Show, singer and music were great. Unfortunately, our seats (grand tier, first row) were very poor for this price category as they had far too little legroom.
