About

A rotating line-up of guest stars (including Grammy® winner Fantasia, now through Feb. 9; k.d. lang, Feb. 11–March 9; and Toni Braxton & Babyface, March 18–30) headline AFTER MIDNIGHT on Broadway. With 25 sensational singers and dancers, this thrilling new musical brings the glamour of Harlem's Golden Age to a whole new generation.
At the heart of AFTER MIDNIGHT is The Jazz at Lincoln Center All-Stars, 17 world-class musicians hand-picked by Grammy winner Wynton Marsalis. The timeless songs of Duke Ellington and his contemporaries––woven together by the prose of Langston Hughes––come to life in an evening of cutting-edge song and dance. This experience puts you at the center of one of Harlem’s legendary nightclubs. Award-winning fashion designer Isabel Toledo reinvents the distinctive looks of the era with dazzling costumes. And, as directed and choreographed by Warren Carlyle, AFTER MIDNIGHT proves that jazz is more than music––it's a state of mind.

Great singing/dancing. Patti Labelle - amazing!

by Anonymous on 7/28/14Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

Lively show - extreme talent! One issue I had was w/seating (ticket pricing). I wanted to bring other guests who are from this era, and would have appreciated seeing this show. They have limited mobility, & their seats would have cost $150.00 each. There were no elevators - so they didn't have access to other seats (& cheaper seats).

    After Midnight Wonderful

by Philadelphians on 7/9/14Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

This talent in this show was amazing. It was such a pleasure to see so many types of dancing -- tap, soft shoe, acrobatic, clever group dancing. And it was suitable for all ages -- nothing obscene or violent. The quality of the performers -- dancers, singers, and band -- was wonderful and they appeared to be having such a good time. Such a shame this closed. Please bring it to Philadelphia and we will go see it again.

    After Midnight

The Play & Cast were excellent with the exception of Ms. LaBelle she had the least amount of lines & face time and her voice was HORRIBLE.

    After Midnight-Go PATTI

    by RichieRich111111111111111 on 7/4/14Broadway - NYC

I saw the Saturday matinee with my mom on June 28 a day before they closed. Julius "IGlide" Chisholm is phenomenal. Patti is patti. She is the best. She never missed a performance, and she gave 110% at age 70. She is a force to be reckoned with. The whole show was so awesome.

    Love This Show!!!

by JENN1169 on 7/4/14Brooks Atkinson Theatre - New York

I had such a fabulous time seeing this show, After Midnight. The show had a lot of energy so there was never a dull moment. The cast is beautiful and very talented which makes me sad that After MIdnight has closed. It's a shame to see all that talent go away. I hope the show will come back in the near future. I would like to see it again. Patti La Belle was fantastic! She has such a beautiful and powerful voice. She brought the house down! Dule Hill was great also. I didn't know that he has such a nice singing voice.
