    Loved Adam Ant

by Wendy on 4/17/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

We had a great time at this concert! English Beat was so much fun and sounded great. Adam Ant was fantastic! He can still sing well and put on a great show. Even if you aren’t a fan, I think you’d have fun at this concert.

    Bucket liat

by Wisteriagirl on 4/17/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

I had a great time. The set list was amazing. My only complaint was that I couldn’t hear Adam Ant singing a lot of the time because the mix had the drums and guitars too loud.

    a fun and rockin night

by wysteria on 4/16/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

English Beat and Adam really rocked the house. the crowd was on their feet dancing for most of the show. Adam played 5 from Kings of the Wild Frontier, two from Prince Charming, 2 from Strip, Two from Dirk (was surprised by this!) and more, including Beat my Guest. An enthusiastic two thumbs up.!

    Great Concert!

by Terry on 4/16/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

Thoroughly enjoyed the concert. We purchased the VIP Package but our VIP items were not there. No one really knew anything, they just pointed at an email address for us to write to. I have written to that email address and have had no response yet. This is a bit disconcerting. Sound was a little off. Would have loved Adam's microphone to have been a little louder. English Beat was great!

    The Legend Adam Ant

by ttracyg on 4/16/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

Amazing at 69! Adam Ant's voice still rocked the house at the age of 69. Adam slides onto the stage and belts out his first song with ease leaving me teary eyed from nostalgia and almost frozen in awe at his stage presence. Slightly slower on his feet his voice never waivered. Singing older songs to newer; Xerox - Wonderful and all the more well known inbetween like Strip, Goody Two Shoes, Friend or Foe and more! I would put his show in my top 10 all time favorite concerts. If you get a chance to see this show I would highly recommend it. LOVE him always!

Sound was so loud. Vocals overpowered by drums and guitars

by Michael on 4/15/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

Adam and the band are all great musicians and had a lot of energy. But the sound levels were very loud for a smaller venue like DPAC and my wife and I had trouble hearing the vocals over the drums and guitars.

I know it was fabulous but life interrupted.

by Nman on 4/15/24Warner Theatre - Washington

Adam Ant is quite fabulous. Would’ve loved to be at the Warner Theater as long ago planned. An untimely and unfortunate stroke smacked the love of my life, greatly limiting the dandy movements required to board Amtrak, check in to the Airbnb long reserved and subsequently attend what was surely an amazing show. For all those who made it, I am certain that the Prince was quite charming!

    Sack the sound engineer

by Living in the 80’s on 4/15/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

Huge Adam and the ants fan as a teenager so was looking forward to the concert to relive my youth. So disappointed the set was great but the sound system terrible. The mix on the vocals meant I could hardly make out the lyrics and it wasn’t until half way through some songs that I knew what they were. Adam did a few twirls on stage but I think his dancing days are over (but i suppose he is 69) he is also a man of few words and doesn’t seem like a natural entertainer. However I could forgive all of that but there is no excuse to have a sound mix that awful.

    A really fun show

by G-Love Fresh on 4/15/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - Durham

I had seen The (English) Beat years ago at Cat's Cradle. That tour they had Lynval Golding of the Specials and Pauline Black of the Selecter with them. Hard to live up to that, but they were solid. I had never seen Adam Ant live. Had wanted to since the 80s but it just never worked out. He was great. His voice was great. The band was great. They played the hits. (I wish they had played "Made of Money"or "Crackpot History"but I bet everybody can name at least one song they would have like to have heard). Great crowd too.
