Abigail Washburn Tickets

Wonderful evening with Abbie and Bela. Fun, engaging, talented and interesting. They continue to get better and better which is really saying something. Bethel Woods is interesting and the sound is excellent, seating area is flat and stage is a bit low so if you're small you're at a disadvantage. Seats are smallish and close together so if you're large you're at a disadvantage... if you're average sized... it's ju-ust right.

This concert was described, and I agree, as feeling like an intimate, personal program put on for a group of friends and family of Abigail's, and we were invited. Yes, she had family and friends in the audience, but it was also her stage presence - so personable, so pleasant, and music that played right along. Good musicians, great voice, intimate venue all added up to a very pleasant evening of music. The music was varied - traditional, bluegrass, chinese folk, pop. Abigail Washburn is a work in progress and has clearly not yet reached her full potential. She has a power in her voice that is expressed particularly when she sings in Chinese - carrying that over to her more recent works is where that potential will be met.
