About

A LOSS FOR WORDS IN CONCERT:

Pop punk quartet A Loss For Words makes good on their name every time they take the stage, leaving fans speechless with the heart-on-sleeve emotion and electric energy of their phenomenal concerts. The band plays catchy, riff-heavy pop punk at its finest, combining impressive musical chops with infectious melodies that make every song worthy of a sing-along. As fans in the crowd bounce to the brisk tempos of high-octane anthems like “Wrightsville Beach” and “Raining Excuses”, frontman Matty Arsenault keeps the energy at a 10, delivering his razor-sharp vocals with fiery intensity. Whether they’re playing early favorites like “Stamp of Approval” or tearing through cuts from 2013’s Before It Caves, A Loss For Words always leave fans thunderstruck at their unforgettable live shows.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

A Loss for Words was formed in Hanover, MA in 1999 by former Lions Lions members Matty Aresnault and Danny Poulin. After spending several years refining their sound and lineup, the band made their debut in 2004 with the album Coming Soon to a Theater Near You. They followed up with a series of EPs before releasing their 2009 sophomore album The Kids Can’t Lose, which they supported on tour with bands like The Vandals and The Wonder Years. A Loss For Words switched things up in 2010, keeping fans on their toes with an album of Motown covers that included songs by The Temptations and The Jackson 5. Their rise continued in 2011 with the album Sanctuary, which earned stellar reviews and peaked at No. 14 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart. Since then they’ve released several acclaimed records and continued to tour extensively, flooring fans with their amped-up performances every time they hit the road.

I got there a little late so I only saw Bad Rabbits (who were amazing) and A Loss For Words who I've seen 6 or 7 times before and just sound more and more incredible and clean each time I see them. I also heard the Motown for the first time live and that killed it - hell of a way to bring their set to a close.
