I upgraded to VIP because it was advertised to meet the bands, specifically Seether. This did not happen. It was also advertised food and cash bar. Meatballs, mac and cheese bites, and chicken wings is the cheep way out. And no cash bar. Wasn't worth the extra cost
Staind and Seether were both amazing. I’ve seen them both several times since their beginnings. Absolutely fantastic.
The event was so amazing all the bands did incredible! The band I liked the most is dayseeker they were awesome!
I’ve been getting tickets on the floor for 3 years now at Rockfest. This year was good but Staind had their volume up way too high. You could hear the echo through Amalie. Maybe because the arena was half empty…

Definitely seen much better lineups with the 98 rockfest. Been attending these for years and was my least favorite. Stained wasn't bad but the headliner needs to blow the roof off ! Honestly it just slowed down the pace of the whole show.
I don’t know what it is about Amalie Arena, but the sound quality is all over the place. Opening bands were the worst, Seether was really good, Staind’s sound quality was poor, but not terrible. Sounds like the music is inside a metal drum and you can’t hear the vocals. We were upper lever, facing center stage, section 108. Not the nose bleeds.
Everything was great, EXCEPT, guy with a big hat in front of us on the floor. The bands were great, the pit is always the best bargain. Parking wasn't even that bad. Everything started right on time. The only thing that needs to change is that no one should be allowed to be wearing some giant hat inside a concert. No sun in the eyes, if you're bald, wrap something around your head that doesn't stick out 6 inches on each side.
The lineup provided was good but could have been changed around and had better acts to follow up as the headliner. Overall Staind out performed everyone's expectations while seether definitely fell short. Compared to prior years the lineup was lack luster for modern day rock and metal.
